Metropolitan Lincoln Mercury opened its doors for nearly 1,000 spectators and participants for the first annual Metropolitan Classic Car & Truck Show. GARDEN CITY, MICHIGAN, OCTOBER 25, 2008 - Every family attending the Metropolitan Lincoln Mercury Trick or Treat party received a free pumpkin along with their fill of cider, donuts, hot dogs and candy. Arts and crafts tables were filled with costumed little ones creating their Halloween masterpieces while others were lining up for a round of pumpkin bowling. A drawing was held at the end of the party for the six-foot tall holiday inflatable decorations that were displayed both inside and outside of the dealership.

GARDEN CITY, MICHIGAN, AUGUST 19, 2008 - A local family received assistance today from Metropolitan Lincoln Mercury at 32000 Ford Road in Garden City after their vehicle was damaged during a gun fight between police and suspected criminals last week. “When I saw this story it broke my heart,” said Mr. Garrett. “First, because it was a terrible experience for the family and second because they suddenly incurred expenses, by no fault of their own, and they were being denied help. That’s when you say to yourself, what can I do?” Mr. Garrett decided to ask Metropolitan Lincoln Mercury management if they could help by using the dealership’s body shop to repair the vehicle for free; without hesitation management agreed.

The real winners were the patients who received blood donations as a result of this promotion. The Lincoln MKS lease giveaway helped Southeastern Michigan Blood Services Region of the American Red Cross to encourage blood donations during the summer months. Twenty finalists were randomly selected to participate in the final drawing which was held at Metropolitan Lincoln Mercury in Garden City on September 27. That day, everyone was a winner. One lucky winner received the keys to the Lincoln MKS and all remaining finalists received gas cards worth $25, $50 or $200. |

• The IRS has certified the amount of federal tax credits available for customers who purchase a Mercury Milan Hybrid or Mercury Mariner Hybrid. The credit amount is up to $3,400. Customers who order or purchase a Mercury Hybrid by 3/31/09 will remain eligible for the full tax credit amounts. Beginning 4/1/09 customers who order or purchase a Mercury Hybrid will only be able to claim a partial tax credit.
Currently, two car manufactures have been affected by the credit phase-out:
• As of October 1, 2007, tax credits are no longer available for Toyota or Lexus hybrid vehicles.
• Beginning on January 1, 2009, tax credits will no longer be available for Honda hybrid vehicles.
